Selma Virginia Howard Betts

Selma Virginia Howard Betts, 68, resident of St. Louis, Missouri died on September 14, 2012 in Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis. She was born July 26, 1944 in Charleston, Missouri to the late John Henry and Mozella White Howard.

She was a federal worker for 28 years until her retirement.

She was married November 8, 1965 to Herman Betts who survives of the home. She is also survived by one son, Herman Anthony Betts, Jr. of St. Louis, one stepson, Jerome Howard of Minnesota, two brothers, Gary Howard of Columbia, Missouri and Marshall Howard of Charleston, two sisters, Elnora Mims of Chicago, Illinois, Susan Howard of Charleston, her stepmother, Pearl Anderson Howard of Austin, Texas, four grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 12:00 noon at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with Elder Steve Betts officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
