Norma Jean Hampton

Norma McCray Hampton, 46, resident of Portageville, Missouri died May 13, 2016 at her home. She was born September 12, 1969 in Shelby County, Mississippi to the late Freeman Sanders and Rosie Mae McCray.

She graduated from Portageville High School in 1987 and had worked for Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Missouri, Golden Living Center in New Madrid, Missouri, and SRG Global in Portageville. Norma was also a member of Zion Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Portageville.

She is survived by one brother, Keith McCray of St. Joseph, Missouri, one sister, Bertha Roberson of Lilbourn, Missouri, her grandmother, Lacey Lee Brown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon at Zion Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Portageville with the pastor, Reverend Joe Scott officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
