In addition to his parents, Albert was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Earl Whitfield, Ronald James Mead, and Larry Mead, and three sisters, Mamie Whitfield Mead, Baby Girl Mead, and Aura Lue Hampton.
He was baptized at an early age at First Baptist Church in Catron, Missouri and was of the Baptist faith.
Albert was a hard worker and was employed by Wescoat Harvesting in New Madrid, Missouri for over 26 years. In addition to working, Albert enjoyed hunting and socializing with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, one daughter, Shaundale (Curtis) Davis-Richmond of Davison, Michigan, three granddaughters Alexandrea Davis, Ashlee Collins and Alexis Davis-Collins of Davison, Michigan, five great grandchildren of Davison, Michigan, two step daughters, Tonya Hubbard and Cynthia Dean of Indianapolis, Indiana, six step grandchildren, two brothers, Albert Charles Whitfield of Chicago, Illinois, and Ervin Mead of Lilbourn, Missouri, three sisters, Doris Whitfield Pope of St. Louis, Missouri, Pauletta (Raymond) Bledsoe of New Madrid, Missouri, and Gloria (Ronald) Carter of Lilbourn, Missouri, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 P. M. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn, Missouri with Pastor Darryl Minner officiating. Interment will follow in the Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron, Missouri.
