Alice Dixon

Alice Louise Dixon, born November 29, 1950 in Charleston Missouri to Mabel Thomas and Sidney Dixon. Alice was a graduate of Charleston High. Upon graduating she worked as a postal worker for several years in the Chicago area before returning to Charleston where she worked as a nursing aid and medical technician. Alice dedicated many years to the Charleston Manor Nursing Home.

Alice was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had a deep and unwavering faith in God and was a faithful witness of Jehovah. Alice had a zeal for the ministry and found joy in helping others to know the truth. One of her greatest joys was helping her fleshly sister, Mildred become a baptized witness of Jehovah.

Those who knew Alice loved her. She was kind, warm and inviting. Her presence made you welcome and at ease. Though she was plagued with many health issues she always found the time and strength to auxiliary pioneer. Her goal was to do all she could for Jehovah. One of her favorite scriptures was Revelation 21:3,4.

Alice fell asleep in death on April 24, 2026 and now remains in Jehovah’s memory. In addition to her parents, all of her siblings preceded her in death: Pearl, Shirley, Mildred, Marjorie and Sidney Charles.

Alice leaves to mourn her death; her nephew, Robby Smith, her niece, Donna Buckner, her grand nephews, Reginald and Romel Smith, her brother-in-law, JD Smith, and a host of friends from the Cairo, IL Congregation and the Sikeston, MO Congregation.

Friends may call Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Brother Joe Hill officiating.
