Amelia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Perry Chapel A.M.E. Church in Charleston, Missouri under the leadership of Pastor Carolyn Kent. She was a stewardess, a member of the Usher Board, a member of the Missionary Society, and a youth choir director with Mrs. Mullins. She married William Craven. They spent many years together until his passing. She later married Roy Morgan on August 10, 2014. Together they shared 11 years of love.

She took pride in everything she did and she loved to share her knowledge. Amelia worked at the Housing Authority in Charleston where she taught others how to mop, clean and take care of their environment. She also worked at the University of Missouri Extension in Charleston under Mrs. Bonnie Heard. There, she skilled others in cooking, nutrition and home management. She taught them how to make her famous rolls in under 30 minutes. Her friends showed her how to grow Dogwood trees and Azaleas, and she shared those techniques with the entire west-side of Charleston. She took her talents to the Charleston Country Club where she resided in the kitchen, making her well requested chicken and dumplings and rolls. Her love for gardening, cooking and educating shined through her actions. Her wisdom will be truly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Roy Morgan, two daughters, Velma Worthy of Jackson, Michigan and Doris Woods of Kalamazoo, Michigan, one brother, Bobby Wilson of Lawton, Oklahoma, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, friends, and her church family.
