Chorice Carter, affectionately known as Thunder Cloud the Rainmaker, was born June 4, 1946 in Charleston to Climmie Carter Sr. and Cora Bryant Carter.
He was employed by Thrall Cars Manufactor Company in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was employed until he became disabled. He then relocated back to Charleston, MO
We will miss him saying, “I’m Thunder Cloud, Thunder Cloud, Thunder Cloud the Rain Maker.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Thomas Johnson, and his siblings, Elijah Carter, Willie Carter, Ananias Carter, Juanita Carter, Edward Carter, Climmie Carter, Jr., Herman Carter, Rose Mary Simpson, Martha Austin, and Mary Lue Stanback.
Choice departed this life on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 while at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Missouri. He transitioned at the age of 78 years, 10 months, and 18 days. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by one son, Jermaine (Jamillia) Carter of St. Louis, Missouri, three daughters, Teresa (Eddie) Carter Hegwood of Portage, Michigan, Mildred (Willie) Carter Williams of East Prairie, Missouri, and Diandra Carter of Hammond, Indiana, one sister, Vessie Blevin of Chicago Heights, Illinois, and a host of nephew, nieces, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston with Pastor Jermaine Carter of The Word of God Christian Church in St. Louis, Missouri officiating.
