We’re here to remember and celebrate the life of Daryn Easton, known affectionately to many as “Eastwood.” Born on March 27, 1969, and raised in Charleston, Missouri, Daryn left us on April 6, 2026, at his home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Daryn’s story began in Charleston, where he graduated from Charleston High School in 1988. Over the years, he built a career that took him to several beloved spots: Boomland and McClains in Charleston, Lambert’s Cafe in Sikeston, Missouri, and for the last five years, he brought his charm and work ethic to Cracker Barrel in Cape Girardeau. Wherever he worked, he was known for being a friendly and humble guy, someone who didn’t mind lending a hand whenever it was needed.
If you ever got a chance to spend a bit of time with Daryn, you would’ve noticed his quiet nature — he wasn’t the loudest in the room, but when he did speak, he had a way of making people laugh, often surprising folks with his quick wit. He loved fishing and was quite the cook, especially when it came to barbecuing — a hobby he was genuinely passionate about.
A particularly special chapter of Daryn’s life was his marriage to the love of his life, Micah Scott. They tied the knot on March 17, 2016, in Charleston. They've been together for over 20 years. Their bond was one built to last, full of love and shared memories.
Daryn maintained a personal relationship with God, marked by his baptism on April 11, 2010, in Ashland, Kentucky. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Charleston, under the leadership of Pastor Darren Horrell.
Family was everything to Daryn. He is survived by his loving mother, Leora Easton Hamilton of Charleston and his devoted wife, Micah Easton, who both stood by his side until the very end. His legacy continues through his four children: his sons, Keenon Scott of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Darrius Farries and Dareon Farries both of South Haven, Mississippi and his daughter, Alexia Davison of Dallas, Texas. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kendall Scott and Kamyiah Scott, who will surely carry forward his spirit.
His siblings, Erica Hamilton and Sylvester Hamilton, Jr., both from Charleston, Missouri, and Roslyn (Kenny) Holbrook from Nashville, Tennessee, his cousins who were raised as siblings, Anita (Clintress, Jr.) Clark and Jameka Easton Johnson, his nephews and nieces, Tyrin Sager, Demarquan Ewing, Dbyrion Smith, Malaki Degarcia, KaVonta Holbrook and Laquavia Quinn, his aunt, Toni Watts, along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, were all part of the extended circle that loved him dearly.
We also honor the memory of his father, Sylvester Hamilton, who passed away before him.
Daryn Easton may have been quiet by nature, but his impact was loud and clear. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Rest easy, Eastwood.
