With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of DeAndre Betts, who departed this life on July 6, 2026, at the age of 36.

DeAndre was born on February 21, 1990, to Selma McCaster. Early in life, he was lovingly adopted and raised by Ollie Betts, whose unwavering love, guidance, and devotion gave him a nurturing home and a family that cherished him. Though both of his mothers have preceded him in death, the love each gave him remained a constant source of strength throughout his life. Their legacies of love and care continue through the family they built around him.

DeAndre's life was marked by resilience, love, and the enduring bonds of family. Like many, he experienced both triumphs and trials, but he never ceased to be deeply loved by those who knew him. His smile, his spirit, and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Selma McCaster, his adoptive mother, Ollie Betts, and his brother, Domarlo McCaster.

He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings Yolanda Betts, Tavis Betts, and Marcus Betts, all of Cape Girardeau; Sedaka Betts (Romie); Keanca Betts; along with his birth siblings, Domarco McCaster, Richard (Doneshia) Towns, Charles Towns, Lorenzo Williams, Phyllis Geiger and RyKysha Williams all of East St. Louis, Illinois; his special cousin, Sukina McCaster; his favorite nephew, Kendal (Dinah) Steele; extended family, countless friends and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him.

While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that DeAndre has been reunited with the mothers who loved him so deeply. We pray that he has found eternal rest and peace. Though he is no longer with us in body, his memory, his love, and the imprint he left in our lives will remain with us forever.

"God saw that you were weary, and He did what He knew was best. He gently closed your eyes and whispered, 'Peace be thine rest. Though we mourn your absence, we rejoice in knowing that love never dies, and your memory will live forever in our hearts."

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. in the Taylor Room of the VFW in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, located at 1049 N Kingshighway Street.
