Gracie Mae Cox was born in Horn Lake, MS on March 15, 1937 to Andrew French and Gracie Mae Miller.

Gracie Mae Cox was married to Jessie Cox, who preceded her in death.

She worked as a Childcare Assistant at Hillis Home School-Agers Academy in Memphis, TN. Then she moved from Memphis to New Madrid, MO where she worked as a Personal Care Assistant at Visiting Nurses Association SEMO (VNA Southeast MO) in Sikeston MO.

She was a member of the New Madrid Pentecostal Church. A Phenomenal Woman who was always caring for children and others. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all who crossed her path.

She departed this life on May 13, 2025, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO.

She leaves to celebrate her legacy: one brother William (Lesie) Montgomery of Sacramento, CA.

Children: Willie (Cathy) Daniels, Jr of Biloxi, MS., Lee James Daniels and Jessie Daniels both of New Madrid, MO., Paul Safford and Milton Daniels both of Sikeston, MO., Mark Daniels of Memphis, TN., Eric Daniels of Mount Laurel, NJ., and Vincent Daniels of Tacoma, WA.

Also, Terrie Daniels of Columbia, MO., Evelyn Daniels of San Antonio, TX., Dorris Daniels of New Madrid, MO., Marilyn (Donald) Graham of St. Louis, MO., Gwendolyn Daniels of Harvey, LA., Carmen Chambers of Lilbourn, MO.

Also, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Gracie Mae Cox was preceded in death by her siblings: Jon Lee Hills Sr., Elijah French, Isaiah French, Andrew French Jr., Emma Lee Jackson-Miles. Also by her children: Melvin Daniels, Charles Daniels, Mose (Tony) Daniels, and LaKeshia Daniels.

Friends may call Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at New Madrid Pentecostal Church located at 1031 Mill Street in New Madrid, Missouri with Pastor G.L. Keene officiating. The Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
