Juanita "Neat" Jefferson was born on October 5, 1934, in Birds Mill Missouri, to the union of Henry and Lovey Treadwell. She was the fourth eldest of ten children born to this loving family.

Juanita received her education at Birds-Mill District #4 School, where she began building the strong values and caring spirit that would guide her throughout her life.

Juanita later met the love of her life, William Jefferson Sr., and the two were united in holy matrimony on July 17, 1954. Together, they shared a life grounded in love, devotion, and family. To this union four children were born.

Mother Juanita "Neat" Jefferson accepted holiness and became a member of The Faith Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Limmie D. Pulliam. She was a faithful and devoted member of the church where she served the Lord with humility, grace, and unwavering faith throughout her life. Mother Jefferson remained committed to her church family and found great joy in worship, prayer, and fellowship.

She was known for her kind spirit, warm heart, and words of wisdom that encouraged everyone she met. Mother Jefferson faithfully supported the work of the church and uplifted those around her through her love, compassion, and dedication to God.

Her steadfast faith and Christian example touched many lives and left a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community. Mother Jefferson's legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026 Juanita was taken from our midst at the age of 91 years, seven months and four days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, and one son, Eugene Allen Jefferson.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories three devoted children: Ernestine Jefferson; William (Veronica) Jefferson, Jr.; and Ray Anthony Jefferson, all of Charleston, Missouri. She also leaves two beloved sisters, Vernice Ivy and Dorothy Coleman both of Charleston, Missouri.

Mother Juanita "Neat" Jefferson was also blessed with a large and loving family that includes seventeen grandchildren, along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish her.

Friends may call Friday, May 22, 2026 at 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Wyatt, Missouri with Elder Elvin Greer officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
