LeRoy Braden, age 88, transitioned from this life to his eternal home on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in his home. He was born March 18, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Joan Shelton Braden. He was raised by his grandparents, Walter and Ellen Braden.
LeRoy attended and graduated from Pearl High School in Nashville, Tennessee.
Upon graduation, LeRoy enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country honorably from July 1955 to May 1957.
He was a dedicated employee as an operator for Lone Star Rock Quarry for 37 years.
In 2013, LeRoy married Lilly Newbern and together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and family.
As we remember LeRoy, we celebrate his love for bowling, fishing, playing cards, being an avid gardener and his passion for making home made wine. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Lilly Braden of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, his daughter, Pamela Braden of Lynville, Tennessee, his stepchildren, Andre Newbern of St. Louis, Missouri, India Newbern of Clarksville, Tennessee, and China Newbern of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, two brothers, Robert Braden and Clifton Braden, his sister, Ruth Braden-Neely, and a host of grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his daughter, Jennifer Braden.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Greater Dimension Ministries located at 723 Hackberry Street in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
