Louise Jones-Simmons was born May 16, 1941, in Frenchmans Bayou, Arkansas to the late Robert and Irene Murphy Jones.

In addition to her father and mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bufford Simmons, her brothers: Robert Jones Jr. (Pig), Kansas City, KS, Willie Jones (Bud), Chicago, IL, Eddie Jones, Detroit, MI, Robert Jones, Detroit, MI, L.C. Jones, Chicago, IL., Buddy Jones, Tunica, MS, her sisters: Jessie Kitty Norman, Chicago, IL, EL Nora Wilson, Catron, MO, her daughters: Carolyn Jean Jones, Rosie Blackmon, Maggie Simmons, her granddaughter: Cassandra Walker, New Madrid, MO.

Louise accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her church home was Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid, MO. She attended and served faithfully under the leadership of Pastor Robert Lee Anderson.

On Tuesday, June 23, 2025, while at her home surrounded by family, Louise transitioned to her heavenly home at the age of 84.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her sisters, Anabelle Bell Wallace, Memphis, TN, Roline Brumfield, Urbana, IL, her brother, Roy Jones Sr., Detroit, MI, her daughters, Mary Ann Johnson, New Madrid, MO, Tracy (Patrick) Ellis, Sikeston, MO, Delores (Leo) Winfield, Sikeston, MO, Amy Mabry, New Madrid, MO, Jean Simmons, Memphis, TN, her sons, Willie Brown, Sikeston, MO, Jerry (Bonita) Simmons, Sikeston, MO, Bufford Simmons Jr., Sikeston, MO., James Jones, Paducah, KY, Kevin Jones, New Madrid, MO, Rayfield Holbrook, Detroit, MI and her great-great granddaughter Jashyia Pratt, New Madrid, MO, whom resided in the home with her grandmother Louise. Along with a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members and friends. This also includes her best friend, Eddie Mae Sanders, New Madrid, MO, whom our mother loved deeply.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid, Missouri with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
