Michael Hubrin

Michael “Mike” Lynn Hubrin was born on July 21, 1963, to the late Nathan Hubrins and Suzanna Norwood Hubrins. He was one of sixteen children, born into a large and loving family of nine boys and seven girls.

Mike was a 1982 graduate of Malden High School. He was of the Baptist faith and had his own personal relationship with the Lord.

Mike was a laid back person and a jokester that loved to have fun. His family and friends will have countless memories to look back on with him. He was a flashy dresser that wanted you to see him coming from afar. His fashion meant everything to him. His kangol hats with shoes to match were his staples. Mike took pride in looking good.

He truly enjoyed watching sports. It didn’t matter what was on, he could be found cheering in front of the T.V. He especially loved basketball as he was “Majic Johnson” on the court during his prime years. If it wasn’t sports, he spent time watching his favorite crime shows.

His family meant the world to him, especially his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. He proudly spoiled them and gave them the world. Throughout his life, Mike was surrounded by family and those who loved him, and the memories they shared with him will forever remain in their hearts.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Suzanna Norwood Hubrins; five brothers, Robert Hubrins, Eddie Hubrins, Nathan Hubrins, Ronnie Hubrins, and Earnest Hubrins; three sisters, Everlena Jones, Airlean Williams, and Rose Porter; and two bonus sons, Orentlel “T-Shirt” Steward and Demarlo Steward.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory the love of his life, Betty Steward of the home; one son, Keiston “KeKe” Henderson of Aurora, Illinois; one daughter, Candace Hubrin of Atlanta, Georgia; two bonus daughters, Jacara Steward of Jefferson City, Missouri and Mykelyn Steward of Fulton, Missouri; three brothers, Matt (Henrietta) Hubrins of Charleston, Missouri, Steve (Kathy) Hubrins of Malden, Missouri, and Willie (Marie) Hubrins of Chicago, Illinois; four sisters, Elnora Robinson and Karen Hubrins of Caruthersville, Missouri, Gloria Collier of Kennett, Missouri, and Judith Hubrins of Columbia, Missouri; one aunt, Mattie Tate of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and eight grandchildren, including one he raised as his own daughter, his “baby girl”, Kahyrah Steward.

Mike also leaves behind a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends who will forever cherish the time, love, laughter, and memories they shared with him.

Though Mike is no longer with us in body, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the place he held within his family will never be forgotten. His life will continue to be remembered through the many people who knew and loved him.

Friends may call Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at Pilgrim’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn with Pastor Darryl Minner officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron, Missouri. The Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
