Michael Todd Washington Williams, resident of Cairo, Illinois, formerly of Charleston, Missouri, died Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was born April 6, 1973 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Eula Mae Washington.
Michael is a 1991 graduate of Charleston High School in Charleston, Missouri.
He was a hardworking man who wore many hats. Michael was employed on the riverboat in Cairo, Illinois, he did roof and yard work, and he fixed cars. In addition to that, he spent time assisting at a food pantry. He once walked ten miles to make sure a family had food. He had a big heart.
In his free time, Michael enjoyed fishing, and continuing his love for fixing cars and doing yard work. His favorite past time was being around his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Jean Henderson.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories two sons, Michael Todd Williams, Jr. of Paducah, Kentucky and Kailen Williams of Jackson County, Illinois, one daughter, Aleigna Thompson of Cairo, Illinois, six brothers, Jimmie Lindell of Wilson City, Missouri, Walter (Ida) Lindell of New Madrid, Missouri, Charles Washington and Reginald Gary both of Charleston, Missouri, Robert Gary of Sikeston, Missouri, and Jason (Karen) Gary of Axton, Virginia, five sisters, Rosemary (James) Moss and Elaine Williams both of Charleston, Missouri, Doris Washington of Sikeston, Missouri, Eddie May Washington of Wyatt, Missouri, and Patricia Haynes of Huntsville, Georgia, a special aunt, Lillie Mae Jones of Cairo, Illinois, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Arthur Cassell officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
